    This is an 8" replacement bulb for the Naturesoft UV Whole-House Purification System (NS-UV-08). Unlike most UV bulbs which operate on an 80% germicidal and 20% oxidation ratio (or sometimes 60/40), this bulb is a 100% germicidal bulb with 0% oxidation. It should be noted that oxidation, while allowing for clean air, can give off an undesirable odor. 8" bulbs are recommended in applications of 3000 square feet or more. For peak performance, manufacturer recommends replacing the bulb on an annual basis.
