    Description

This omamori was purchased from Ikaho Shrine in Gunma Prefecture. Omamori are Japanese charms sold at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples, dedicated to particular Shinto kami as well as Buddhist figures, and are said to provide various forms of luck or protection.
“Ikaho-jinja Shrine dates back to 825. Deities of hot springs and medicine are enshrined here, demonstrating the importance of the town's therapeutic onsen.
Locals say that climbing Ikaho's 365 stone steps to reach the shrine brings good luck and improves fortunes. The town’s shops and cafes line the stairs, so there are plenty of opportunities to rest along the route.
Once you reach the top, the shrine is a beautiful place to look out across Ikaho.”
