Antique Bavarian Tirschenreuth Large Scalloped Bowl featuring Hand Painted Roses with a ruffled gold edge. C.1903-1927.
Hand painted porcelain bowl from Bavaria. The floral pattern features lovely red, pink, and white roses surrounded by green leafy foliage which repeats all around the bowl's insides. The main background are shades of very pale green as well. There is a gold overlay painted trim around the highly decorative scalloping on the bowl. Signed by artist, J. Braun.
There is a raised embossed scalloped ridge along the insides of the bowl to give the bowl texture and appeal.
This bowl measures approximately 10-1/4" W x 3.5”H. The porcelain mark is a crown over a striped shield with P T on the sides of the shield with Bavaria below. This bowl’s particular mark with only the word PT Bavaria is shown as being manufactured c.1903-1927.
Bowl is over 100 years old. It is from the Porcelain Factory Tirschenreuth in Tirschenreuth, Bavaria, Germany.
Kept in a china cabinet. Perfect condition. No cracks or chips or crazing. Over 100 years old in perfect condition.
