Very hard to find original red velvet dress for a Belle 20" Margie doll - many extra items to complete the outfit are included as well. The outfit includes: dress, petticoat, girdle, hat, purse, necklace, nylon stockings and shoes. *Doll and stand are NOT included. Circa 1950's. Dress has 3 buttons in back. It is not tagged. I believe the petticoat and girdle may also be original, though I do not know that for sure. The rest of the items are not original, but combine together to create a truly beautiful outfit!
CONDITION: The dress displays beautifully and is in very nice condition overall. I did notice that a few stitches are needed at the seam of the right cuff (see last pic). Other than that, maybe a tiny bit of wear here and there, though nothing that detracts at all from the beauty of the dress. Girdle and petticoat have some degree of soil and the petticoat has some red color transfer from the dress. Stockings look very nice overall - they have just a few very minor, very tiny snags. Flowers on purse have some soil and are flattened from storage. Necklace hardware has age-related patina and the coating on the beads has some wear. Hat looks nice. I could be mistaken, but I think the shoes may have had ankle straps at one time (there are none present now).
